Celebrating 49 Years of the Art Resource Association!

at the Vermont State House Cafeteria Gallery

MONTPELIER, VT — The Vermont State Curator’s Office presents Celebrating 49 Years!, a members exhibition of the Art Resource Association (ARA) at the State House Cafeteria Gallery from April 30 – May 31 with an artist’s reception on May15 from 3-5 PM.  All are welcome to join Art Resource Association members as they head into their next half century. Over 30 member artists will be exhibiting in a variety of creative disciplines.

“ARA artists have exhibited at the State House for much of their nearly half century of existence”, says Vermont State Curator David Schutz.  “ I have befriended many of them through the decades, and we are delighted to continue this long-standing tradition at the State House.

The Art Resource Association is an organization of Central Vermont artists whose goal is to promote and support its member artists. As part of that mission, they regularly hold group shows in venues throughout the Central Vermont area. The Art Resource Association also provides educational opportunities where members can offer special workshops to the community. Through the Phil Osgatharp Scholarship Fund, they award need-based fellowships for Vermont Artist Week at the Vermont Studio Center in Johnson. The ARA believes in the power of art, with a goal to provide the opportunity to share it in the community and know that their work helps make our world a better place.

For additional images or to set-up interviews with the artists please contact Linda Hogan at paragraphics@pshift.com or 802-371-7852.
