A duo show of artwork by Joy Spontak and David Klein will be shown during September at the ARA Gallery, 46 Barre Street, Montpelier. Joy’s thoughtful, beautiful paintings and pastels are paired with whimsical, exuberant works by David Klein of “Beanie the Singing Dog” fame. Opening reception is on Saturday, September 5, 4–6 pm. Gallery hours: M–F, 8 am–7 pm; S–S, 9 am–5 pm.

On Wednesday, July 1, a new show goes up at the ARA Gallery at the Center for Arts and Learning, 46 Barre Street, Montpelier. ARA artist Jean Barberi displays works from both 2025 and 2026: “Going in Circles and Lines” (2025) and her current work, “Quiet Art for Chaotic Times.” The show is up through July. Opening reception is on Friday, July 3, 4 to 7 pm. Come by to meet Jean and see her work. Gallery hours: M–F, 8 am–8 pm; S–S, 9 am–5 pm.
