Dear ARA members and friends,
For the October exhibit at the ARA Gallery at CAL, we will be celebrating the ARA’s 50th anniversary. We invite everyone to participate and encourage you to submit your best work for this show. If you are not currently a member, you can still participate by paying your ARA dues of $25.
We need jpegs of artwork to submit to the Art Walk guide. If you want your work to appear in the guide, the deadline for submitting is September 17. Send jpegs to kmuellerarts@aol.com
I will need information about your artwork sent to me by or before September 24. I need title of work, medium, and price so that I can print labels for the show. Note that the commission is 35% (25% goes to CAL and 10% goes to the ARA) and price your work accordingly. Send this information to kmuellerarts@aol.com
Artwork needs to be delivered to the gallery on October 1 or 2. The show will be hung on October 2. The reception will be during Art Walk on Friday, October 3. We’ve asked Pat deGorgoza, well-known sculptor and printmaker and cofounder of the ARA, to speak about the beginnings of the ARA during the reception. More details about the show and reception to come.
Thank you,
Kate Mueller
About the Art Resource Association:
Founded in 1975, the mission of the Art Resource Association (ARA) is to promote and support Central Vermont artists. As part of that mission, the ARA regularly holds group shows in venues in the Central Vermont area, including the Center for Arts and Learning, T.W. Wood Gallery, Vermont State House, Montpelier City Center, and Kellogg-Hubbard Library.
The ARA also provides educational opportunities for both members and the community. Member artists regularly offer art courses and workshops, such as on printmaking, watercolor, photography, and framing.
We believe in the power of art, share it in our community, and know that our work helps make our world a better place.
